sales role
- Establish professional communication with local and export customers to provide costing and furniture/interior design specification
- Make presentations to senior design management or clients, when bidding for a contract or to present design proposals.
design role
- Study, research and plan various styles of furniture design; selecting suitable materials, which might include wood, metal and textiles;
- Discuss designs with clients for custom ordering or with manufacturers;
- Prepare detailed final designs and specification;
- Generate designs using CAD, illustration software or hard prototypes;
- Liaise with carpenters or production department, about the process of construction and production timeline and costing
qualifications and skills
- Minimum 2 years design/sales experience in commercial furniture or interior industry
- Diploma/Degree in Interior/Furniture Design
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Photoshop, AutoCAD a must.
- Possess good computer illustration skills for interior perspectives and graphic design
- Candidate must show flair in interior and furnishing design with ability to design and style showroom and trade booths with LIFESHOP's signature line of furniture and home accessories.
- Team player with good communication and written skills in English and ability to build good network with interior designers.
